Lessons at Cypress Ridge
Practice Facility
Cypress Ridge has a driving range with both grass and mat teeing surfaces. The practice facility is open the same hours as the golf course.
Golf Instruction
Scot Weller, PGA Class A member, is a life long resident of Topeka and has been a staple at Cypress Ridge since October of 2002. Prior to working at Cypress Ridge he was an assistant at Shawnee Country Club also located in Topeka.
Scot's golf philosophy stresses the importance of basic fundamentals such as posture, alignment and grip (PGA). By building off of these core fundamentals Scot is able to help his students build strong, consistent short games as well as help each student find the proper swing path that best fits their game. The short game, considered the heart of golf is one of Scot's teaching strengths. His ability to help develop his students short games only enhances their abilities to significantly reduce their scores.
One of Scot's most important lessons on golf is:
